Welcome to my page! I am an Assistant Professor of History at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. I specialize in the nineteenth-century U.S. South, Civil War Era, and women and gender studies. I have been published in The Washington Post and Journal of American Studies, and am a 2021-2022 Washington Library Fellow. My book, Gendering Secession: White Women and Politics in South Carolina, 1859-1861, is under contract with Cambridge University Press.
